Winter I-Ready Diagnostic Completed
We're extremely proud of the work our learners put in every day. The I-Ready diagnositc is just one data point of many that we use to monitor student academic growth and to determine tiered supports needed for students. Please check your student's backpack for their individual I-Ready scores. Below you will see the school-wide scores in both math and reading. I've included the most recent data (Winter) and the data from the first diagnostic taken (fall). Please reach out to our coaches (Dr. Stacey Williams, STEM or TaLoria Wilson, Humanities should you have questions about how to interpret your child's scores).
Your continued support and encouragement is greatly appreciated. As you can see, there's still work to be done. Here's what you can do at home to help support your learner:
- make sure to talk to your child about what they are learning in school (see STEM and Humanities Newsletters within this newsletter to find out what units each grade is on)
- check to see what your child has for homework and have them walk your through it
- talk to your child about the books they are reading at home; check and sign their reading log
- encourage your child to complete a genre bingo card
- practice multiplication facts with your child
- if your child is struggling with math, consider watching these district created videos
As always, reach out to your child's teachers if you have any questions or need ideas about how you can support your child at home.
In partnership,
Tricia
