Global Competence in the Classroom
Implementation of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals
Join us in understanding the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals and what implementation may look like in the classroom so your learners can get to know the world and how to problem solve global issues.
Join and Utilize Our Network
The World of Learning would like the opportunity to create a network of educators in our area that have an interest in bringing global competency to their classroom. We would also ask for anyone already implementing SGDs in their classrooms to join us and share the benefits of adding these experiences.
When we meet we will discuss the the importance of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals, some ideas on how to implement them, and listen to others who will share resources to make this possible in our classrooms.
Dates of Events
The World of Learning will be hosting a two part networking event on Thursday December 6, 2018 and Thursday February 28, 2019 at the Appalachia Intermediate Unit 08 office in Altoona, PA. Both dates will begin at 9:00 AM, lunch from 12-1 PM, and conclude at 3:00 PM. We ask that each participant does lunch on their own. You may pack or go to any nearby facility. These networking events are free and we ask that you do bring a technology device with you. Click here to register: https://goo.gl/forms/Eop1Y8Fubif07yZV2.
