Newsletter 23.2.24
This week...
We have been receiving responses from our families survey all week and are delighted to see how positive and supportive our families are. We can see that you love our school as much as we do! We value your feedback and suggestions. Once the deadline has closed, we will collate the responses and feed these back to you.
I'm delighted to report that our attendance is improving rapidly and this week, for the first time since September, we are ABOVE National Average! Thank you for your effort in getting the children into school. We know the positive impact it has.
We are celebrating First Holy Communion at Church on Sunday,
so please feel free to join us there at 9am!
Have a lovely weekend.
Thank you, as always, for supporting us to
Live, love and learn with the Lord.
Mrs Ronicle
First Week of Lent
We are now in the first week of Lent and the virtue we have been exploring this week has been love.
As St Anthony Mary Claret said, 'Love is the most necessary of all virtues.'
In our Virtues Worship on Monday, we discussed how God loved us first, and how He wants us to love one another. This week, we have really focused on how we can show love to all members of our school family.
Open Classrooms and Learning Reviews - Save the Date!
On Wednesday 10th April, from 2:30-3:30pm, we are hosting open classrooms, where children invite their families into school to share their wonderful learning.
After this, from 3:40pm-7:00pm, teachers will be holding learning reviews with parents/carers. Information on how to book a slot will be released nearer the date.
Families Survey
You should have received a text this week with details of our families survey.
Thank you so much to those families that have already responded!
Now that we are halfway through the year, we are keen to gauge your experiences of our school. If you are able to fill in our short survey below, we would be very grateful. This will help us to identify areas to strengthen and areas to celebrate!
First Holy Communion
This Sunday, 25th February, we will be celebrating First Holy Communion at 9am at St Joseph's Church. All are welcome.
As we approach the First Holy Communion, could you please keep the following children in your prayers:

Whole School Attendance this week: 96.9%
This week, we have been ABOVE National Average 94.3(%)
Congratulations to St Bernadette's (for the second week in a row!) for having the best attendance this week!
We have been learning...
St Nicholas (Nursery)
In our RE, we talked about Joy and Sorrow. We drew what makes us happy and sad.
St Francis (Preschool/Reception)
If anyone has any materials for junk modelling including: cardboard boxes, clean yoghurt pots, bottle lids, tubes etc. please donate them to our Early Years. They would be gratefully received.
St Bernadette (Y1/Y2)
We started our Art topic this week and thought about the artist El Anatsui. We thought about how he reuses materials to
