A great first month!

We have enjoyed working with your student over this first month of the school year. Thank you so much for your partnership, cooperation, and understanding along the way. We are so grateful for the opportunity to work with our wonderful parents and community members.

Morning Drop Off

If you are dropping your student off each morning, I ask that you pull your vehicle all the way to the Secondary School Main Office entrance before letting your child out of the car. This helps to ensure that all vehicles are able to safely get out of the street and the buses can still get to the driveway to drop off students.

With cold and flu season upon us, nurse Lounsbury would like to take the opportunity to provide you with some suggestions on when to keep your child home from school. Please see the attached informational form below.

Event Information

Presented by the BKW Cheerleaders

Come and join the BKW Cheerleaders for our Fall Festival from 1-4pm on October 1st in front of the BKW Elementary School! There will be food, games, prizes, and more!


Entry is free. Please bring cash for games, food and contests! Please see the following for our schedule of events.



1-4pm - Food, Carnival games, Fire trucks, Face painting, Pumpkin painting and more!

1:30pm - Hula hoop competition

2:00pm - Winner of "Guess the Number of Candy Corns" announced

2:30pm - Winner of "Pumpkin Painting Competition" Round 1 announced

3:00pm - "Minute to Win It" contests

3:30pm - Winner of "Guess the Weight of that Pumpkin" announced

The ESports lab is open!

We officially opened the esports “Lab” on Tuesday. Complete with gaming PCs, Nintendo Switches, Play Stations, and Xboxes the students will compete in tournaments locally, nationally, and globally. It is open to all and no experience necessary.

Students in Ag. Explorations are planting cold weather crops for their upcoming Harvest Challenge.

Floral Design/Landscaping

Students visited Farmhouse Floral design in Middleburgh to create centerpieces for the Commissioner of Agriculture's dinner in Saratoga Springs.

3D Printer Shelves

Students in Mr. Baker's class recycled materials to create shelves for our new 3D printers. Students designed and built the shelves to match the needs of the machines.

Coach Dennis achieves a milestone

Congratulations to golf Coach Don Dennis who picked up win number 350 as varsity golf coach. Don was a long time math teacher at BKW and has been coaching golf for an amazing 38 years. Way to go coach!
