We had a great first week!! Please know that this week we will watching the heat index and having indoor breaks/recess/PE. If it isn't too bad out, we will have morning recess and PE. Please feel free to send a water bottle to school with your children.

This week is our GLOW BASH! It is our version of the walk-a-thon. It is so much fun and all the proceeds go towards that...FUN! This fundraiser is how we pay for field trips, incentives, our end of year parties, and our annual SUPER BOWL parties!! That will happen yearly, right Mahomes? We would like to also get a book vending machine with our proceeds..and maybe a few more fun things around here! I told the kids, if we raise as much as we did last year (over $12,000) I will dye my hair WILDCAT PURPLE again!!! Some of the kids have asked me to do green, rainbow, yellow, and even requested a mohawk. Not sure I'm going that far! Please come a party with us on Saturday night - it is a blast!

Welcome to the Broadmoor Breakdown! We will be sharing informative videos on our weekly messages, our website, and on our Facebook page to help you be more in the know!

Students have begun activities with 5th-grade band! Every student will have the opportunity to make a sound on the flute, clarinet, trumpet, and trombone mouthpieces over the next couple of weeks. Students will be able to select from the following instruments for this year:

• flute
• clarinet
• trumpet
• trombone
• alto saxophone (a select few)
• french horn (a select few)
• baritone (a select few)
• percussion (must try-out and we accept 6)

Meyer Music is hosting a rental night here at Broadmoor Elementary School on Thursday, September 7th 2023 from 5:30-7:00 PM. Renting an instrument is the most popular way to get an instrument for the year. You can fill the contract out in advance HERE and just pick up the instrument that night!

If you are not able to purchase or rent an instrument then please contact Mr. Tiedeman at tiedemanz@usd416.org. We will do our best to get an instrument for anybody who needs one!

You can also access action plans or med forms. If your child will be taking medication or keeping an inhaler or such at school, medical paperwork is mandatory to have on file.

Please update the school with a copy of any physicals or new immunizations.
