Crockett Students and Families,

Hi Cougar families!! We are thrilled to welcome you and your children back onto our campus for the 2022-2023 school year! As you can see from all of this information below, there is already excitement brewing in anticipation for the start of school. Please take some time to mark you calendars for these exciting and upcoming events.

This year, we will be focusing on having high expectations and holding one another accountable. As always, we look forward to partnering with you and your family to ensure that your child leaves Crockett prepared to succeed in college, career, and life.

I am honored to be the principal of Crockett Early College High School and privileged to be part of such an inclusive community that has a foundation of building relationships with students. I look forward to having another Always Victorious school year!

August 1st: Football practice starts @ 8am - 11am for 9th grade, 3pm - 8pm for 10-12 grades

August 1st- 3rd: Volleyball 9th grade tryouts from 9-12, JV/V tryouts from 2-5pm

August 4th: Volleyball practice from 10-12 & Teambuilding Day

August 4th: Volleyball Parent Meeting @ 6pm

August 2nd: Cougar Cub Camp (9am-3:00pm)

August 5th: Orchestra Mini Camp @ 9am with a performance at 3pm

August 6th: Austin ISD Back to School Bash @ Palmer Events Center (9:00am-1:00pm)

Austin ISD’s Back-to-School BASH 2022—Supporting AISD Students and Families

We are excited to announce that Austin ISD’s Back-to-School BASH will be back in-person, and will take place on Saturday, Aug. 6, 2022, at the Palmer Events Center (900 Barton Springs Rd, Austin, TX 78704) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. District departments and community organizations from across the city will offer exhibits for AISD families to learn about numerous programs and services that can help students enjoy a safe and successful school year.

Back to School Family Information Session!

Good News! All Crockett students will continue to receive FREE Breakfast & Lunch

Crockett ECHS is one of the 77 Austin ISD schools that will continue to provide free meals for all students through the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program. No documentation or application is required for students to receive free meals. Create an account with www.SchoolCafe.com to view the menu.

2022-23 Bus information

Families whose students are eligible for transportation will receive their bus information by email or letter on Aug 2nd. The district’s “Bus Stop Finder'' will be live on Aug 2nd. Families whose students have special needs will receive their information in person from their bus teams starting the second week in August.

“WheresTheBus” App for Families

AISD’s transportation team offers families the “WheresTheBus” app, which provides timely information about the location of their student’s assigned bus only, including when it will arrive at their stop. The free app is available on any device with internet access (smartphone, tablet, personal computer, iPad)—and takes less than five minutes to install. Instructions are available at https://www.austinisd.org/transportation.

Garden Club!

We are excited about getting our garden ready for the fall and we could use some green thumbs! We could also use a tiller. If you would like to help or in need of some community service hours, contact Lisa Robinson at lisa.robinson@austinisd.org
