Student Highlight: Matthew D.
A: I came to HHSO because I was seeking an easy way to continue my High School Education from home after receiving side effects from the cancer I was diagnosed with when I was younger.
Q: What do you feel was the biggest contributor to your growth while attending HHSO?
A: I believe the biggest contributor to my growth while attending HHSO was the wonderful staff that was there answering any questions I had along the way, while also giving amazing encouragement through emails and face to face.
Q: Were there any obstacles that you had to overcome to graduate?
A: There were many medical obstacles in my way that I had to overcome to graduate but HHSO allowing students to choose when they want to work and not being forced to stick to a strict schedule, these obstacles were easily manageable, making my life a great deal less stressful.
Q: Do you have any advice for students who are struggling with school/life balance?
A: My best advice for students struggling with school/life would be "communication is key". In my experiences the HHSO Staff and counselors were always there when I needed them, to answer any question big or small.
Q: What are your goals for after graduation?
A: My Biggest Goal after Graduation would be to enroll myself into college and start my journey to becoming a Registered Nurse. Since Hospitals played such a huge role in my life as a child, becoming a nurse would allow me to give back to an organization that gave so much to me, including my life.

Conrad's Corner
Hey everyone! My name is Brenda Conrad and I am the Leads Specialist here at HHSO, which means I handle all the registrations and make sure all the files have all the correct paperwork before I assign your Academic Coach. I am usually your first point of contact coming to HHSO. I hope everyone has had a great school year!
We are coming to the end of the school year and some of your friends and family might be looking for another school. This has been a crazy year for some school students. For students here, the quarantine and Pandemic did not affect us as much. I want to encourage all of you to let them know about the flexibility here at HHSO and also the support and help you receive from your Teachers and Academic Coaches.
We strive to make your learning journey a unique experience.
