Safety Measures
Clear Bag Policy
In an effort to provide a safer environment and improve security, El Dorado School District has implemented a Clear Bag Policy that limits the size and type of bags that may be brought into stadiums, gymnasiums, and other athletic fields.* Prohibited items include but are not limited to purses larger than a 4.5" x 6.5” clutch bag, coolers, briefcases, backpacks, fanny packs, grocery bags, cinch bags, luggage of any kind, computer bags and camera bags, or any bag larger than the permissible size.
Bags that are permitted included:
Tote bags that are clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC and do not exceed 12” x 6” x 12”
One-gallon clear plastic freezer bags
Small clutch bags with or without a handle or strap, no larger than 4.5” x 6.5” (approximately the size of a hand)
Bags not permitted:
Backpacks, printed plastic bags, fanny packs, purses, reusable grocery totes, mesh or straw bags, duffle bags, large totes, and camera or binocular cases.
Diaper bags are not allowed. Items normally carried in a diaper bag must be put into a clear plastic bag for venue entry.
Unaccompanied Children
Another way that ESD is making an effort to keep everyone safe at athletic events is to require that all children 6th-grade and younger be accompanied by an adult at all times. Gate supervisors will mark the hands of children who should be accompanied while at the event.
Clubs and Activities
EHS Choir
The EHS Choir "flash mobbed" the River Market in Little Rock and performed in the State Capitol Rotunda.
Seen Around Campus
Anatomy and Physiology students dissected sheep brains to learn the parts of the brain and understand how the brain functions.
“Get Your Christmas Cheer with Us This Year”
Mrs. Phillips' Small Business Operations Class (Wildcat Café) participated in a Christmas Holiday Marketing Contest, designed to increase sales during the week of December 12th -16th. For the contest, the Wildcat Café gave away free muffins and chips to customers as a show of appreciation for the holidays, which led to more customers and increased sales!
The students also designed and printed shirts to wear during the campaign.
The contest results are still not in, but we are proud of our Café staff and hope for the best!
The Wildcat Café staff wants to tell everyone "Thank You!" for visiting the Café during the Fall Semester and they can't wait to see you again after exams.
*Our hours may be affected during the transition between semesters.
