Dear Families,

Happy start to the second semester and the 3rd quarter. We hope that everyone had a nice relaxing break with their families! As we head into the second semester we want to thank all our families for their continued support and making AES great!

Lost and Found is collecting a lot of coats, sweaters, and hoodie. If your child has lost an article of clothing at school please have them look through both cafeterias lost found for their item.

Questions from the Classroom

Preschool: We have worked hard on identifying the number 11. Do a scavenger hunt this weekend and find as many number 11s as you can find.

Kindergarten: How many words can you think of that rhyme with “snow”? (Hint: go, so, blow, grow, show, row, mow, etc.)

1st grade: When are some times you should wash your hands? ( Before and after you eat. After you handle pets. After you go to the bathroom. After you handle money. After you cough nor sneeze or blow your nose.)

2nd grade: What does it mean to be persistent? ( to keep trying and stay positive)

3rd grade: Ask your student what the Commutative Property of Multiplication states. (When multiplying factors you can switch the order and get the same product i.e. 8 x 3 = 3 x 8)

4th grade: How can you use partial quotients to solve division problems?

5th grade: Ask you child what their "ONE WORD" goal for 2024 was and why they chose that word?
