Fullerton Weekly Update

ASD4 Families,

The ASD4 Board of Education voted to approve an updated Return to In-Person Learning Plan. The presentation slides and the plan document are attached for your review. The focus of this plan continues to be for our students to safely return to in-person learning.

We need every parent/guardian to complete a new survey to indicate your choice for your child to participate in either Option 1: Hybrid Learning or continue with Option 2: Remote Learning. Also, parents are asked to indicate if their child will need general education bus transportation, which is limited to Ardmore, Fullerton, Indian Trail, Lake Park, and Stone. Every parent is asked to complete the Parent Commitment Form in Skyward for each child no later than October 7 , 2020. Instructions for filling out the Parent Commitment Form can be found here.

Please review the In-Person Learning Plan and contact your child’s school principal if you have any questions. We will communicate final timelines for students to return no later than October 12, 2020.

ADDISON SCHOOL DISTRICT 4

To complete the Parent Commitment Form in Skyward, parents/guardians will need to log into Skyward Family Access and will need there login and password information. If you do not have your child's login information please contact the Office at 630-458-2950.

Addison School District 4 and the IDPH require that individuals self-certify that they are free of symptoms before entering school buildings. The daily student self-certification must be done each day, for each student in your household. Please remember to log in to your Skyward Family Access online or using the app to complete the daily student self-certification. For instructions, please view the attachment or this video.

*Self-Certification must be done by a parent or guardian by asking each student in your household the self-certification questions.

Please use this link to learn about influenza. Additionally, attached are Free Flu Vaccine Vouchers at Walgreens. The vouchers are for low income and uninsured residents of DuPage County.

The Fullerton Library is excited to give students the opportunity to place library books on hold using their Chromebooks! Please review How to Place a Book on Hold to learn about this process. Students may check out two library books at a time and read them for up to two weeks. Once a student places a book on hold and it is ready for pick-up parents will be contacted through Remind. Books will be picked up and dropped off at Door 1 in the vestibule during student attendance days from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. In the vestibule there will a library cart where the books/holds will be… just look for the ones with your student’s name on them! Additionally, there will be a bin by the library cart where books should be returned. Students must return previous library books when picking up their new holds.

Addison School District 4 will continue providing five days of meals every Wednesday from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm at Door 1. Meals can be distributed to children in our community under the age of 18 at no charge to them.
