PRINCIPAL'S UPDATE
Hello Eagle Crest Families!
I hope this email finds you all beaming with joy and excitement as we head into a well-deserved weekend. I am thrilled to share that we had an absolutely fantastic week at Eagle Crest, despite some unexpected twists from Mother Nature. Our remarkable students embraced the challenges with open arms and displayed an extraordinary level of flexibility, proving once again that they are true champions of adaptability!
Throughout the week, we encountered various opportunities to practice our flexibility skills, and I am immensely proud of how our students handled each situation. Whether it was adjusting lesson plans, rearranging activities, or finding creative alternatives, their positive attitudes and willingness to adapt were simply awe-inspiring. We firmly believe that fostering a flexible mindset is a valuable life lesson, and our students are shining examples of its power.
Now, onto some exciting news! Due to the forecasted rain, we have made the decision to reschedule our highly anticipated Field Day. The new date is set for Monday, May 22nd. We want our students to fully enjoy this fun-filled event without any concerns about the weather. Rest assured, our dedicated team is working diligently to ensure that the rescheduled Field Day will be nothing short of extraordinary.
Wishing you all a weekend filled with laughter, relaxation, and cherished moments with your loved ones. May you return on Monday with renewed energy, enthusiasm and sunshine!
Warmly,
Amanda

PTO UPDATE
Dear Eagle Crest Families -
Kona Ice is coming on Friday (tomorrow) as the grand prize to celebrate exceeding our $23,000 Laps for Leadership goal! We raised an impressive $26,266 which funds field trips, paras in the classroom and educational opportunities for all students. We will be moving Laps for Leadership to its traditional fall date for the 2023-24 school year (October 26th, 2023). This will help with budgeting, weather concerns, and conflicts with multiple spring school events.
Please take a moment to fill out our quick end of the year survey. We would love your feedback as we plan events for next school year. Last call for our Longmont Dairy milk cap fundraiser! Drop off your clean milk caps to the front office bin or bring them to the picnic next week. View the minutes from our last PTO meeting here.
Have a good week,
Jenn Pensy, PTO president

LUNCH MENU & COLOR DAY SCHEDULE
Our Music, PE, and Art classes are on a 3 day rotation. Every school day is either a Red, Gold, or Purple day. These colors are shared on our school lunch menu to help families plan ahead for necessary supplies like sneakers for PE.
ADD MONEY TO YOUR CHILD'S SCHOOL BREAKFAST & LUNCH ACCOUNT
MySchoolBucks is the website you want to access in order to add funds to your child’s account for purchasing breakfast, lunch, or milk at school. This system will send you reminders and can manage the account of multiple students. Money can also be sent to school by check or cash. Please label any checks or cash with the students first name, last name, and teacher.
If you haven’t yet, you can apply for Free & Reduced meals to see if your family qualifies for free meals. Applying for Free & Reduced lunch will help manage fees (like iPad Insurance or sports) and also helps our school receive additional funds and services. We encourage all families to complete the application.
