HMS Counselor Individual Meetings with All Students
1. Allows counselors to make meaningful, individual connections with each student.
2. The meetings are an easy, school-wide screening tool to help address student needs as they pertain to our counseling domains of: Academic/Career and Personal/Social.
3. Help to assist students in planning for life beyond high school, to become college and career ready.
4. Through this tool, the counselors also give the students the opportunity to express celebrations, concerns, and needs.

HMS Virtual Calming Room
We know that during these difficult times we are all experiencing a wide range of anxiety and emotions. We understand that you may be feeling scared, confused, overwhelmed, angry, alone, grateful, or completely calm - sometimes all at once. We created this site to give you a virtual space that you could turn to when you need a break, or just want to spend some time rejuvenating.
HMS Counselors Virtual Room is a place for students, families and staff to find tools and strategies for managing emotions and feelings and building our resilience during this pandemic.
Dual Credit Summer Academy
Humble ISD offers a Dual Credit Summer Academy in partnership with Lone Star College to allow 8th-12th grade students the opportunity to earn high school and college credit in the summer with free tuition. Students receive credit on their transcripts if they earn a C or higher in a course. This year, the Dual Credit Summer Academy will be online.
Dates: June 7 to July 13, 2021
Course Registration: March 29 - April 30
Instructional Platform: Online
Costs: Tuition is waived, except for PHED. Fees for summer courses must be paid in full to Lone Star College by the student via LSC iStar. Scholarships will be available to qualifying students.
Registration: March 29 - April 30 | Students should first contact their school counselor to process the Exceptional Admission form needed to register (must meet eligibility via ACT, SAT, PSAT/NMSQT or TSI). Then go to http://www.lonestar.edu/dualcredit to register.
TSI Testing: Lone Star College has a test score requirement for new students. Any student who has not yet met college-ready testing requirements may take the TSI test online from home. To test from home, the student must have access to a computer with a camera for live proctoring services. Students school counselors can assist parents in getting students set up to take the TSI test if needed.
Transcripts: At the conclusion of a course after grades are posted, students will need to send their Lone Star College-Kingwood transcript to their high school registrar so that grades can be added to their high school transcript.
Humble ISD Credit By Exam
