Caregiver Update
Watch us SOAR!
Dear Clough Families,
I hope all of our Clough families have the chance to enjoy the Thanksgiving break with family and friends. I am grateful for our students, staff, and families. Today, we had our family meetings where we each talked about gratitude with our school families. Everyone had a chance to fill out a turkey feather where we wrote what we are thankful for. Thanks to Mrs. Stone, our art teacher, who created a turkey body for us to help display all our gratitude feathers.
Looking forward to seeing many of our families tomorrow morning, Nov. 21, for Breakfast and BINGO! Families can come into the cafeteria at 7:45 to play BINGO and enjoy breakfast together. If families are able, they can bring in a non-perishable food donation for us to give to the local food pantry. Prizes will be awarded and our student council members will help call the numbers! See the flyer below and we hope Clough families will be able to join us!
On Friday afternoon, we had a whole school assembly where we all recited our Choose To Be Nice pledge and gave out the first of many awards recognizing students who demonstrated the core value of kindness. Staff members will be nominating students, and I will be giving out awards throughout the year. Congrats to the following extra kind students who received our first awards:
Ethan M, kindergarten
Varoon M, SI kindergarten
Amelia M, kindergarten
Madelyn R, 1st grade
Ethan P, 2nd grade
Madelyn S, 3rd grade
We are planning on another book swap on the day before winter break in December. We will place a box outside to start collecting gently used books. Perfect time to clear off your bookshelves at home. The book swap will help all of our students go home over winter break with some new reading!
Tomorrow is the deadline to sign up for the next session of enrichment. See the button below. Also, check out the flyers about Chess Class!
Sincerely,
Liz Garden
Clough Principal

We are utilizing the Choose To Be Nice program for resources and activities. They have resources for families that can be found here:
