Test to Stay and Screening Information

How does a student become a contact at school?
- If your child is not vaccinated and was within 3 feet of a positive person, for 15 minutes, then they would be considered a contact and would be put into quarantine.
Quarantined Excused Absences
- If your child is in quarantine due to someone other than a SSS student you will need to provide documentation from the doctor or health department for your child's quarantine.
- If your child is in quarantine due to being a contact at school, the school will ensure the quarantined days are excused.
Testing Documentation
- If your child is quarantined and receives a negative test on day 5, 6, or 7 please send the documentation of the negative results to SSS.
Quarantine Protocols
Day 0: Last day of exposure to positive person
Day 5: test date option 1
Day 6: test date option 2
Day 7: test date option 3
Day 8: If tested on day 5, 6 OR 7 and NEGATIVE, student can return on day 8.
Day 11: If not tested and NO symptoms, student can return on day 11
What does my student do about school?
- Please email your child's teacher to let them know your child will not be at school. From there, your child's teacher will provide you with more information.
- Devices can only be taken home by completing the following steps below.
Parents/Guardians will need to electronically sign the Chromebook Device Agreement along with each student in their household that is issued a device and that will taking it home.
