Summer School is Approaching
Summer School is just around the corner. Because we are a FIR, Formally Improvement Required Campus, we have given the opportunity to have Summer School for our 2nd-4th Grade students who need additional academic support. 5th grade Summer School is designated for students who were not successful with their STAAR assessment and must take the third administration. This year summer school will be from a June 6-21, Mondays through Thursdays from 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at A.M. Pate Elementary. An email will be given out to teachers seeking a list of students who will need to receive an application for summer school.
Also, we are seeking teachers who are committed to the calling of Summer School. Please see Mrs. Staten, if you are interested in teaching summer school.

Digging Deeper into Data
How often do you analyze your student's data? Is it only when you have a data meeting? What is the purpose of analyze data? How does it impact your classroom instruction? Did you know that there are different types of data that you should analyze? Attendance, Discipline, Achieve 3000, AR, Review 360, MOL, Circle, Fountas and Pinnell SCA, Cogat, Benchmark, and previous year of STAAR Data are just some examples of data that we should analyze. We should analyze data daily, weekly, monthly and yearly to determine our next steps. Knowing the students information and providing interventions or extensions is a great start, however, differentiating your instruction so that all students are successful is the ultimate goal.
