What a rainy week! We were fortunate to get outside for recess a couple of days. When we are forced to stay inside, students have the option of participating in indoor Mile Club.

Ms. McCauley leads students on a fast-paced walk through our hallway. This gives students an opportunity to get a little exercise and burn off some energy.

As we reach the end of October, please remember that on Monday we will celebrate Halloween by having a special snack of smoothies that will be prepared by our PTA members. If you'd like to help out, please reach out to Callie Wells. Remember, costumes and masks are not permitted in school. However, your child is welcome to wear orange and black, as I know many of our staff members will.

Another sign that November is arriving is that you will be hearing from your child's teacher to schedule a parent/teacher conference. Evening conferences will be held on November 21st. Please be sure to sign up as soon as possible.

In order to conserve resources, as of December 1st, we will no longer send a paper newsletter home. The Log and flyers will be posted on the website in the NEWS section at phippsburg.rsu1.org. If you require a paper version, please contact Mrs. Doran at tdoran@rsu1.org or at 389-1514.

We’ve chosen October 28th as our Bus Driver Appreciation Day, though every day we can show how much we appreciate them by being polite, safe and always following the bus rules. Feel free to write or draw them a note of appreciation and thanks for getting us safely to and from school every day. Thank you Mr. Charles, Miss Megan, Mr. Vande and 1st Student, for getting our students safely to and from school every day! We appreciate you!

Trick or Treat Tromp: Join us Saturday, October 29th from 3-5PM for our 14th annual soggy dog designs' Trick or Treat TROMP and FOOD DRIVE for the Bath Area Food Bank. Gather at Library Park in Bath at 3PM. At 4PM, we TROMP! Any questions, contact theteam@soggydogdesigns.com or text 207-389-6089.

Saturday, October 29th, 5:30-7PM, the Phippsburg Rec hosts Trick or Trunk and Food Collection for the Bath Area Food Bank at the Town Hall parking lot. Participating vehicles must be in place by 5PM. To sign up your vehicle, contact Michelle Sloan by October 26th at 841-3161 or Cathy Thomas at 522-3105. The food pantry drop-off location will be the Phippsburg Recreation Committee table.
