Principal's Corner
It is hard to believe, but we have nearly finished the first month of school. Students are back into routines, and learning is in full swing. Our athletic teams are also back in action. We thank our coaches for donating their time to develop our athletes. Our coaches to start the year are:
Mrs. Reber - Sr. Girls VB,
Mrs. C. Zimmer - Jr. Girls VB
Mrs. Thomas - Golf
Mrs. Tobler - Cross Country
Mrs. Tobler and Ava G, and Lacey S - Mini-slammers
Parent Teacher Interviews are tomorrow evening. Thank you to the parents who have signed up for an interview time. If you have not signed up or cannot make it, don't hesitate to contact your child's teacher to make arrangements.
Looking ahead to October, we are excited to begin our school assemblies and squads. Our first planned squad activity for October will be to create scarecrows for the town Scarecrow Festival. Our assemblies will continue celebrating our students' successes in and out of school. At our annual Awards Night on October 6th, we will recognize our Junior and Senior High students' achievements from the 2022-23 school year.
Our first staff meeting of the year will be Thursday, October 5th. Please note that students will now be dismissed at 11:40 am on staff meeting days.
This is a friendly reminder that we are relying on PowerSchool as our primary form of communicating student progress. If you need assistance accessing PowerSchool's parent site, please use this link. If you or your child have any further questions about accessing PowerSchool, please contact us; we will be glad to help.
Please follow us on Facebook, X and Instagram to learn more about what is happening at Daysland School. You can also call or email me if you have any questions.
