SMSA Fall American Cross Blood Drive Success
Fall American Cross Blood Drive
Last month Ms. Gomez and Ms. Radmanovich took the lead on having our Fall American Red Cross Blood Drive. This is a large undertaking! We had a goal of 21 pints of blood. We are proud to report that their efforts (alongside their students) led to collecting TWENTY-SIX pints of blood and easily beating our goal. There were also 13 new donors. Congratulations SMSA students, SMSA Staff and Annie and Rad on a successful drive. March 2024 will be the Spring Blood Drive!
SMSA Seniors Go To Salem!
On Monday, October 30th, eighty seniors and juniors toured historic Salem, MA, together with an intrepid group of chaperones made up of SMSA teachers, staff and parents. The trip included a visit to the Witch Dungeon Museum, complete with a live re-enactment of a witch trial and a tour of authentic dungeons where the accused were held pending trial. Thereafter, students were free to explore historic Salem, including its harbor area, historic graveyard and common, and many artisans, craftsmen, performers, shops and eateries.
