CES Parent Newsletter

With the winter season creeping up on us, as well as the flu and other viruses, it is critically important the you help us keep our students healthy. Below are a few reminders:

• Check. your child's temperature each morning before they come to school

• Do not send your child to school if he/she has had a fever (100 degrees or more) within 24 hours of 7 a.m.

• PLEASE do not send your child to school after giving him/her child tylenol or motrin. They are still contagious and can spread germs to our entire school.

Beginning Monday, November 30th, we will collect cans for needy families in Heard County. To encourage participation, Tribes will compete against each other to see which tribe can collect the most cans. Can collection will end Friday, December 11th.

If you have adopted a child from our Giving Tree, please remember that all gifts are due to the school no later than Friday, December 4th. Thank you for your generosity and kindness.

Please join us Saturday, December 5th at 2:00 for the Centralhatchee Christmas Parade. Due to COVID restrictions, students will not be allowed to ride on the school float, but we will have staff members on the float throwing out candy to the parade observers.

The last day for students to earn Accelerated Reader points will be Friday, December 11th. Please encourage your child to READ, READ, READ to meet his/her goal to be able to attend the AR party. Students will make Christmas ornaments, have a snack, and receive a take-home treat!

The cold season has just started and we already have a MOUND of lost jackets and coats! If you write your child's name inside their coats, jackets, and lunchboxes, we can return them to your child. If you are missing an item, please write a note to your child's teacher or call the front office. But to avoid losing things, ALWAYS write his/her name inside the coat on the label. Thank you.
