This week will mark the last week of the third six weeks as well as the end of the first semester. CFA assessments will be administered throughout the course of the week. You may find the CFA assessment schedule below in the Upcoming Events. It is important for teachers, students, and parents to understand that semester grades are of utmost importance as they each semester grade counts for 50% if the student's yearly average. It is also important to note that all subjects are equally important; however, according to our RHISD Promotion and Retention policy, students must attain an overall average of 70 on a scale of 100 for all subject areas, a 70 or above in reading/language arts and mathematics, and a grade of 70 or above in either science or social studies. Lastly, we remind everyone that attending summer school for promotion is not an option at the middle school. That said, we hope our students strive to do their very best at all times.

The band staff is incredibly proud of all of auditioning students for putting in the time to prepare for this rigorous audition. The RHMS All-Region Band members will be traveling to La Feria High School next Friday 1/19 and Saturday 1/20 for rehearsal and will perform in concert on Saturday 1/20 at the Edcouch-Elsa Auditorium at 4:30 PM. This concert is free and open to the public.
