Newsletter Supporting Your Health and Well-Being
Tuesday, April 26, 2022
Dear Community,
Spring is a time of renewal and re-awakening of the senses. The many falls on and near campus are rushing - have you stopped to smell that fresh air yet? Birds are coming out of their winter nesting spots and sharing their songs. Sunsets can easily be viewed from Libe Slope and offer gorgeous moments of awe and wonder.
As researcher, academic, and author Brene Brown states in her latest book, Atlas of the Heart: Mapping Meaningful Connection and the Language of Human Experience - "Awe and wonder are essential to the human experience." Why, you might ask? Cultivating awe and wonder is shown by research to increase compassion, kindness, generosity, and perseverance, and to improve mood. This week's newsletter edition offers information and opportunities we hope might inspire awe and wonder for you.
In community,
