LHS Cell Phone Phone Policy in the Classroom:

Cell phones will not be needed in class. Class time will be spent supporting social, mental, and emotional wellness by facilitating an environment focused on building relationships, developing face-to-face communications skills, and encouraging technology-free interactions. Every student is required to put their phones away in their backpacks when they come into class and be seated before the bell rings. Students will also be able to charge their phones at the charging station. If a cell phone is out in class teachers have the authority to confiscate the phone, place it in the basket and can be picked up at the end of class. If the student refuses to place their phone in the basket, the device will be confiscated by campus security and handed into an administrator to be picked up at the end of the day by a parent or guardian. Parents, please call the main office if there is an emergency and you need to reach your student.

Students will be given a 5 minute tech break in the middle of each class, outside of that time cellphones/apple watches/games are not allowed.
