Good morning,

UTA’s College of Engineering is offering a 4 year course entitled Texas Pre-Freshmen Engineering Program in the summer to students in 6th-8th grades. It is mathematics-based with problem solving skills and abstract reasoning. There is a fee involved; however, it runs from June 12-July 21st. This is a great opportunity for so many of our students. I have included the link below in hopes you will share with your students that meet the qualifications as outlined on the web page.

Mary Lillard has partnered with the Danny Jones National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) to offer a peer to peer academic mentoring program for our students! We are pleased to introduce the Bulldog-Leopard Mentoring Center.

The mentoring center is open Monday through Thursday, 7:15-8:00am. Tutors from Danny Jones will help our students with content from language arts and social studies on Monday and Wednesday, and math and science on Tuesday and Thursday.

Students must have a pass from their teacher, and assignments to work on in order to attend. If you are interested in your child attending, please contact your child’s teachers.
