Parent Update

In order to be consistent with our Elementary school calendar in 2019-2020 and providing teachers additional preparation and planning time, we will be adding 4 shortened days to our school calendar. On shortened days students released one hour earlier than normal. These changes will be presented to the Board for approval at the October 12 Board Meeting.

Once approved by the Board, the following days that will be shortened days for the Elementary School Calendar:

• October 29th
• December 17th
• February 25th
• March 18th or May 27th (Depending on if we use our Emergency Day on March 18th)

We are looking forward to hosting our first In Person Board Meeting, starting October 12 at 6pm. If you are attending in person, please keep in mind we will be following all safety guidelines including the requirement to wear masks for the duration of the meeting. The Board Meeting will be held at 1000 Yulupa Ave, Santa Rosa.

If you would like to make a public comment, please attend the meeting in person OR submit a comment via this form no later than 2pm on the date of the meeting. If you are interested in submitting public comment card, and are not attending in person, it will be read for you during public comment, time permitting, or given to the members of the Board for consideration ahead of the meeting.

The public may continue to tune into the meeting via our zoom link. The zoom link is also available for members who would like to access the meeting via a Spanish translator.

If you haven't already done so, please log into your Parent Portal and complete your child(s) First Day Packet. This will allow us to make sure we have the most update to date information such as emergency contact and home address.

Extended Care in the Rincon Valley Union School District has availability at all sites in most grades, TK-6th. We offer flexible scheduling. You can sign up for before school or after school. You can sign up for anything from 1 day a week to 5 days a week.

Extended Care follows all of the same COVID safety guidelines as your school and coordinates closely with the District. We have had in-person programs since May, 2020 and have lots of practice keeping our students safe.

If you need any care before or after school, please visit the Extended Care Coordinator at your site and register in person during Extended Care hours!
