REMINDER: THERE WILL BE NO SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS ON

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 7TH OR TUESDAY NOVEMBER 8TH!

Students will be back in school on Wednesday, November 9th and it will be a "B" day.

Infinite Campus parent portal gives you the ability to check your students' missing assignments. Once you are logged in, click on the grades tab to the left. Within the grades tab, make sure you have selected the correct grading quarter. If you select "All Terms," it will show you missing assignments from past quarters that students do not have the ability to complete.

Mrs. Hamby's enrichment classes just finished a Food Truck project now they are working on re-creating a scene from a movie or book.

There is a total lunar eclipse early Tuesday morning and if skies are clear, it will be visible from Lynchburg! The moon will be full Monday night, but at 3am it will begin to darken as it moves into earth's shadow. At 5:15am, the moon will turn completely red until 6:41am, when it begins to emerge from earth's shadow before moonset at 6:55am. Check out this video from NASA for more information on lunar eclipses.

Jim George

This is his 4th year at LMS. What he likes best about LMS is his department and how they interact with one another. He also likes the overall environment with colleagues and administration, there is a mutual respect among all of us.

Safari Johnson

She was selected because she always has a good attitude, is very self-aware, and is genuinely kind to the people around her, including her teachers. She strives to do the right thing and owns up to her mistakes and tries to correct them if she can.

Safari likes Math class the best. It's her favorite subject and she's doing well, she also likes the Math activities.

Her favorite part of the year so far was the Color Jog.

She hopes to be a business woman when she grows up.

Winter Sports:

Anyone trying out for winter sports will need to have an athletic physical on file with Coach Turille before they will be allowed to tryout. It must be dated after May 1, 2022. No physicals from last school year will be accepted. If you do not have your physical you will not be allowed to participate.

Boys and Girls Basketball begins November 9th. Players need to be in the gym and dressed and ready to go by 3:10. Practice will be over by 5:30.

Wrestling will start practice on Monday November 14th. Practice will be from 3:15 till 5:15.
