IMPORTANT NEWSLETTER! PLEASE READ!

Dear Village Families,

As you may know, we are in the process of preparing for a return to in-person learning! Please see the important information here about re-opening:

• WHEN WILL SCHOOL RE-OPEN?

• Sonoma County has to meet certain health and safety standards from the State and county.

• When these conditions are met, RVUSD schools will be able to partially re-open within a few weeks.

• We don’t have an exact date yet, but we hope this will be within a few weeks.

• WHAT DAYS WILL MY CHILDREN HAVE IN-PERSON SCHOOL?

• Your children will be assigned to either Mondays and Tuesdays OR Thursdays and Fridays.

• We will let you know your children’s school days on Friday, February 26.

• Siblings and students in shared households will be assigned to the same school days.

• Please be aware that bus transportation WILL NOT be provided by RVUSD.

• WHAT WILL THE SCHOOL DAY LOOK LIKE?

• All students will continue with distance learning from home Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 8:30-11:45.

• Wednesday remains an at-home learning day for all students.

• Students in Pod A will come to school for in-person learning from 12:45-2:45 on Mondays and Tuesdays.

• Students in Pod B will come to school for in-person learning from 12:45-2:45 on Thursdays and Fridays.

• We will let you know your children’s Pod on Friday, February 26.

• WHAT IF I CAN’T REMEMBER IF I CHOSE IN-PERSON OR TO STAY IN DISTANCE LEARNING?

• You will receive a communication from the RVUSD District Office to confirm your choice.

• Only those families who selected the Hybrid model will be scheduled for in-person learning.

• Families who chose to stay in Distance Learning will NOT be scheduled for in-person learning.

• If you are unsure of your choice or would like to change your choice, call or email Village Office Manager Rebecca Lacefield (rlacefield@rvusd.org, 545-5754)

Estimadas Familias de Village,

Como Ustedes sabrán, ¡estamos en el proceso de prepararnos para volver al aprendizaje en persona!

Consulte la información importante aquí sobre la reapertura:

• ¿CUÁNDO VOLVERÁ A ABRIR LA ESCUELA?

• El Condado de Sonoma tiene que cumplir con ciertos estándares de salud y seguridad del Estado y el Condado.

• Recibirá una comunicación de la oficina del distrito de RVUSD para confirmar su elección.

• Solo las familias que seleccionaron el modelo híbrido serán programadas para el aprendizaje en persona.

• Las familias que optaron por permanecer en el aprendizaje a distancia NO serán programadas para el aprendizaje en persona.

Please submit photos and our yearbook staff may select your photos for the yearbook.

Please see the flyers below and upload your personal pictures for the yearbook.

Picture ideas include:

First day of school drive-through

First day of school snap shots

Your students in their workspace

Your student doing classwork, attending assemblies or Zooms.

Creative home classrooms

Your child reading

Enrichment activities (PE, cooking, music, hiking, etc.)

Material drop off/ pick up experience

Halloween drive through pictures or pictures at home

Winter break photos

If you child is going to be absent from any classroom zoom time due to illness, appointment or other reason please contact the Village School office at (707)545-5754 and press 1 for the attendance line. Please leave your child's name, teacher, the date you called, the reason for the absence.

If you are having technology issues and you are unable to get onto a zoom please also contact the school attendance line.

The main newsletter is sent in English to all families however, there is the option to translate it into multiple languages. If you would like to have the translated newsletter please open the newsletter in your web browser and you will see a box to the left that says "translate." Select the arrow to download the translation and choose your preferred language. A screen print is provided below for reference. Thank you!
