1) If you have been exposed to COVID in either the school or non-school setting (ie. home) you can come to school provided you remain asymptomatic.
If you have been exposed to COVID in either the school or non-school setting AND you develop any COVID-like symptoms, you have to isolate for five days. You cannot test out of this scenario.
Students who have been exposed in a school setting receive a hard copy notice on the day, or the next school day, depending on when the case was reported.
If you develop any COVID-like symptom and have not been exposed to to COVID in either the school or non-school setting, then you can return back to school if you are able to provide a negative COVID test or doctor's note, you remain fever-free for 24 hours without fever-reducing medication, and your symptoms have improved.
2) Masks should be worn at all times in the school health room, unless a health condition (e.g., shortness of breath or vomiting) makes it unsafe to do so. (page 11 of updated Health and Safety Handbook)
3) A new form with return to school/work criteria for someone who has COVID-19 symptoms or tests positive at school. (page 18 of updated Health and Safety Handbook)
To view the form that will go home with students sent home from the health room is located at
