A Message from the Principal
Dear Eccles Families,
My heart is really full after the fun events on Wednesday. First, it was great to see so many grandparents and special people visit their loved ones here at Eccles. Engaging with our community is one of our school goals and it was wonderful to see so many community members walking our halls, eating lunch, and playing with their students.
Second, Camp Reads-a-lot at Eccles was another opportunity to spend time with our community. I am especially proud of our students. The way they conduct themselves everyday and the work they put into their literacy projects was incredible. What a treat to see such creative displays of reading, writing, and speaking growth!
And our staff! When our leadership team discussed these events several months ago, they recognized the importance of engaging with families in authentic and joyful ways. They planned and organized these events and presented them to their colleagues who were entirely supportive of both events. This requires a commitment to our community and students, and a lot of flexibility. Thank you to our entire staff for hosting these really fun, and really important community events.
We are approaching the end of May, but we are just as engaged as ever. Thank you for your help maintaining good routines at home so our students are rested and at school on time. We still have a lot of learning to do and we want every student at school and ready to learn.
Sincerely,
Kelly

CHS Grad March at Eccles
Yesterday, the 2023 CHS graduates visited the elementary school they attended when they were younger. The graduates marched through the halls in their caps and gowns while students, staff, and even their families, cheered and clapped for them! This was such an exciting time for everyone involved. Congratulations Graduates!
After-School Child Care Program
For the 2023-2024 school year, we will continue to offer an after-school child care program at two district schools: Knight Elementary and Trost Elementary. Students from Carus and Lee Elementary will have potential busing support to attend the program at Trost Elementary. Students from Eccles and Ninety-One school will have potential busing support to attend the program at Knight Elementary. Families will need to pick up their students at either Trost or Knight Elementary.
We will offer care from 2:30-4:30 p.m. (1:30 p.m. Wednesdays) at the rate of $12 per day. Families can continue to choose full-time or part-time (M, W, F or T, TH) care.
