Attendance Matters
Yes, school attendance matters for several reasons.
Education: Attending school regularly is essential for acquiring knowledge and skills. It provides students with access to a structured curriculum, qualified teachers, and a conducive learning environment.
Academic Success: Consistent attendance is strongly correlated with academic success. Students who attend school regularly are more likely to achieve better grades, perform well on standardized tests, and graduate on time.
Social Development: School is not just about academics; it's also a place where students interact with peers, develop social skills, and learn important life lessons. Regular attendance helps students build friendships and develop emotional intelligence.
It's important for parents, guardians, educators, and policymakers to recognize the significance of school attendance and work together to ensure that all children have access to quality education and the support they need to attend school regularly.
Recess and Cooler Weather
Dressing for cooler weather requires careful consideration of the temperature, weather conditions, and your own comfort preferences. Whether it's autumn, winter, or a chilly day in spring, we aim to get the students outside for recess everyday. Please help make sure your student is properly dressed for the cooler weather.
Trait of The Month: Respect
October is bullying prevention month so the character trait students will practice this month is respect.
All guidance lessons in October will discuss respect and bullying prevention. At the end of the month, high school STAND members will be doing some activities with elementary students for Red Ribbon Week.
