Message from the principal
Dear Abroad International School Community,
I am thrilled to share some exciting news with you all. Our recent MYP Authorization visit was an outstanding success, and I want to express my sincere gratitude to the parents who actively participated in the interviews. Your valuable insights and engagement were crucial in showcasing the strength and commitment of our school community.
We received positive feedback from the MYP authorization visitors, and we are eagerly anticipating the outcome from the International Baccalaureate (IB) in the coming months. This achievement is a testament to the collaborative efforts of our dedicated team, especially Ms. Katherine, our middle school coordinator, and the entire middle school team. Their hard work and dedication have played a pivotal role in making this milestone possible.
I also extend my heartfelt thanks to the entire faculty for their unwavering support throughout this process. Your commitment to excellence and passion for education have significantly contributed to our success.
Additionally, I would like to express my appreciation to the parents who attended our recent Parent-Teacher-Student Conference. Your active involvement in your child's education is invaluable, and we are grateful for the opportunity to work together in shaping the academic journey of our students. Looking ahead, we are excited about the upcoming Parent-Teacher-Student Conference for our ELC division this week. Your continued participation and collaboration are vital in fostering a strong partnership between home and school, ensuring the holistic development of our students.

Food Wastage Prevention Initiative.
From the pen of Ms. Monica
In Nursery class, we are celebrating Food and Nutrition in this month of February. We talked about healthy and unhealthy foods, table manners, and setting up the table. In addition, we encouraged students to finish their food as it is the main source of energy. We also believe that even the youngest children in our school can respond to environmental concerns, simply by finishing their meals, and this important message should be echoed throughout the campus as our school begins to highlight sustainability.
Together with Grade 3 students, selected Nursery students marched throughout the campus to remind individuals not to throw their food away. Aside from promoting sustainable practices, this effort allowed our Nursery kids to be familiar with the whole campus and its other members - faculty and other grade levels.
Starting a campaign that involves Nursery students needed careful planning. Students made use of their scissor skills, pasting, and lacing and beading. However, there was an opportunity to juxtapose these fine motor skills with other aspects that are underscored in the IB program, and we believe that this experience has enabled them to be carers, good communicators, principled individuals, and risk takers. We continue to nurture and support children by giving them such activities especially as they greet the world of IB in the next school year.
