CSD Top 3
Your monthly school district newsletter
Oct. 6, 2022
Canby School District Community,
We have officially been in school for one month! During that month and for the rest of the school year, we are asking ourselves how we can create a vibrant and engaged learning community dedicated to growth for all. There’s no single perfect answer, but know that each of our staff members are thinking about this every day.
Now, please take a moment to read this month’s CSD Top 3 – those three things we think you’d like to know, plus the monthly lunch menu. Enjoy!
New Playgrounds are Open!
This summer, we continued putting 2020 bond funds to use, and one way we did that is through the installation of our final elementary school playgrounds. Students at Carus and Ninety-One School voted on the equipment colors and ended up with the same – blue and yellow for the win! At Carus, the playground moved closer to the school building and covered play area to allow for better recess supervision. Both schools received safer and accessible play equipment with SofTile flooring as well as new concrete work and landscaping.
Recently, we celebrated with those school communities by holding ribbon-cutting ceremonies. Check out this short video of the events!
