Las Positas Updates

Happy Mid - January,

It is registration time for new TK and K friends for the 2024-25 school year. If you know a neighbor or have little children who fall under this category, here are some important information:

• Registration online opened 1/17 (visit the https://www.lahabraschools.org/)
• Open enrollment (out of our school boundary) starts 2/1 to 3/15
• Literacy Fair at Las Lomas (lots of prizes): 2/3 from 9 AM - 12 PM
• Signing Day (bring all your paper work to school): 2/5 - 2/9
• Open House (you are all welcome): 3/13 from 5:30 - 7 PM
• TK/K Readiness Event: 4/25 from 5 - 6 PM

Our teachers and students have been diligently working to make this academic year a success. As we navigate through the month, we're eager to share the progress and achievements of your child during the upcoming conferences. Your continued support in invaluable to the Las Positas community. Thank you for being partners in your child's education.

This month we will continue to focus on the IB Learner Profile "Knowledgeable"

The IB Learner profile aims to develop students who are knowledgeable. Students who are knowledgeable explore concepts, ideas and issues that have local and global significance. In doing so, they acquire in-depth knowledge and develop understanding across a broad and balanced range of disciplines

Coming to school everyday is so important. We love recognizing our students who are here every day and on time. Maybe your child's class will be recognized next week?

Parents, if you are walking to pick up your child after school, please pick them up at the dismissal area. We cannot release them to walk toward you on their own. Thank you for your cooperation in ensuring our students are safe at all times.

Fridays - wear Las Positas Gear/colors (blue & orange)

• 1/22 - 1/26 - Conferences (Minimum week ALL STUDENTS 8:10am-12:40pm)
• 1/22 - 1/26 - The Great Kindness Challenge
• 1/22 - PTA Meeting 5pm in the Library
• 1/23 - Exercise Classes being 8:30am (every Tuesday)
• 1/24 - Farmers Market at WMS 10:30am - 11:45am
• 1/30 - Coffee w/the Principal and Friends at 8 AM in front of the school (informal)
• 1/30 - I am a Parent I am Leader / Soy Padre soy lider 6pm -8pm at the District Office
• 1/31 - I am a Parent I am Leader / Soy Padre soy lider 9am - 11am District Office

This year, all students will receive free meals.
