Message from Principal Eisenbach
Happy Spring CL Families!
With only 2 months to go, the remainder of the school year will go by fast. It is hard to imagine that we will soon be preparing for the 2023-24 school year. That being said, please enroll your child if they are entering CL for the first time next year. These would be next year’s 4K students and 5K students that weren’t in 4K this year. Having accurate numbers early allows us to plan for the number of sections we’ll need next year.
The Wisconsin Forward testing window is now open and most 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students will start taking those tests when we return from spring break. Please take a look at your child’s classroom’s testing schedule. It's important that our students are in school on those days. We do have to make up missed tests, but it is much easier to complete them during the scheduled time.
As a reminder, we will not have school on Friday April 7th, but we will have school on Monday April 10th (the day after Easter). There is also no school on Monday April 24th for professional development.
Hopefully we won’t need snow pants and boots anymore this year, but please keep them at school since we do have the occasional April snow storm. We will go outside for recess and we don’t want their shoes, socks, and pants wet for the remainder of the day as a result.
Warm regards!
Andy Eisenbach

COUNTY LINE MARATHON Continues!
Get your running shoes ready, because it’s time for the County Line Marathon!
Sponsored by the County Line PTA, the County Line Marathon is an incentive program that promotes a healthy lifestyle and the perseverance for striving towards a long-term goal. We are encouraging all students (kindergarten through 5th grade) to participate! The spring marathon will occur April 17-21 and 25-28
The spring will be a continuation of the marathon from fall 2022. Even if your child has not yet participated this school year, there’s still time for them to work towards a prize this spring! Students who complete the half marathon (150 minutes) and/or the full marathon (300 minutes) will receive prizes. Students will have time during lunch recess to run or walk laps on the course on the County Line field, with parent volunteers handing out popsicle stick “counters” at 5 minute intervals. Parents, please reinforce with your children that if they intend to participate, the marathon field needs to be their FIRST stop in recess. We are not able to accommodate kids attempting to start the marathon later in the recess period. Please have your child dress appropriately during the dates of the marathon. We recommend layers for the upper body and
sneakers for footwear. Please refrain from sending participating children to school wearing open-toed shoes during the marathon for safety reasons.
We need volunteers to help log marathon minutes:
