BARBE HIGH BACK-TO-SCHOOL INFO

REMINDER: Any RETURNING student to Barbe that will be 10th, 11th or 12th grader will need to pay your fees online and will NOT need to attend face-to-face registration. If you are an incoming Freshman that has rolled up from a Calcasieu Parish public feeder middle school, have paid your fees online, and will not need a tour, you will not need to report to face-to-face registration either.

Teachers will give school supply lists to students on the first day of school in each class. Students should bring a small notebook and pen/pencil to take notes concerning important information the first day of school.

Student Council members will be giving school tours to any incoming Freshmen or Sophomore who was a year-long virtual student last year and may be unfamiliar with the Barbe campus. There are 16 opportunities to take a school tour. Any Barbe student may show up at any one of these dates and times for a tour. The dates and times are listed below.

• The first day of school is FRIDAY, AUGUST 13TH
• The first bell rings at 7:43. Students will be considered tardy after 7:48.
• The school day will end at 3:10

Due to the large amount of post-hurricane construction that will be ongoing in our gyms, we will not be requiring students to purchase a P.E. uniform this school year.

Student schedules will be available for viewing on Monday, August 2nd in Student Progress Center (where students and parents check student grades). Counselors will not begin taking schedule request changes until after school begins and students will be required to scan a QR code to enter the issue with their schedule. Counselors will only make changes to schedules if there is an error. No changes will be made to switch to a different teacher or to a different lunch period.

Homerooms will be posted on the front glass near the front office on Monday, August 9th. Students may come up to look at their homeroom beginning that day. Homerooms will also be posted all around campus for students to see. There will also be a map of the school for students to take a picture of to assist them with finding their way around campus.
