The upcoming week is an exciting one for our students. Just a reminder that there is no school on Monday. Each day includes a spirit day sponsored by SGA. On Friday, we run an altered schedule to include the Pep Rally. The schedule is below for reference. The parade is open to the public and begins at 5:00. Our homecoming football game kicks off at 6:30 that evening. Students who purchase tickets for the Homecoming Dance will join us in the WHS gym from 7:00-10:00. Last entry to the dance is at 8:00. Just a reminder that at all WHS events we want to make sure that we provide a safe, welcoming, and fun atmosphere for all student-athletes, coaches, officials, and spectators. Please know that we will not tolerate unsportsmanlike behavior, including inappropriate comments, cursing, or any derogatory remarks towards anyone. Our job is to cheer on the Lions. Anyone unable to comply with appropriate behavior will be asked to leave and will not be allowed to return to additional events.

Do you need to apply for meal benefits? Do you need to add money to your student's lunch account? Please use this link: https://linqconnect.com/ Meal benefits from last year expire soon- please complete the form ASAP to ensue no interruption to your child's status!

The parent/guardian in your household who is listed as the first contact for your child(ren) received an email from FCPS No Reply Power School. The purpose of Power School is to collect important emergency information from you in case the school needs to contact you. This form replaces the paper student information cards of the past.

A reminder email was sent out on September 18 to parents/guardians that have either not submitted or started but not submitted the student information form. The email provides instructions on how to use the secure online portal to provide updated information for this school year.

Please take a few minutes to review the FCPS No Reply Power School email and complete the online form as soon as possible for each student you have at WHS!
