PLEASE DONATE A BAG OF CANDY FOR OUR PARADE ON 10/30, THANK YOU!
Updates from Mrs. Saad:
2:00 P.M. SCHOOL-WIDE HALLOWEEN PARADE
- Our parade will take place between our front parking lot and in the school hallway.
- Our students will pass through the front doors and walk the sidewalk between door 1 and door 2. You can stop by and view the parade if you would like. (If it is raining the parade will stay inside and difficult for all parents to be able to see it due to limited space).
- Parents who plan to attend we ask that you line up where the grass meets the sidewalk along our parade route. This allows the sidewalk to be clear for our parade path.
- If you are planning to take your child home following the parade, please communicate this with your child's classroom teacher.
- Costumes that are violent or frightening must be left at home. (ie: blood, guts, horror, etc). These costumes may be for home trick-or-treating but not for our school celebration.
- Children must be able to safely walk in the parade. Masks that block/limit vision should be left at home.
- If a child’s costume includes weapon-like items, these items are not safe for school and must remain at home.
Your child's classroom teacher will send out Parent-Teacher Conference Sign Ups soon! Parent-Teacher Conferences will take place on Thursday, November 16th and Friday, November 17th. These are half days of school. Your child's classroom teacher will offer afternoon and evening times. Our goal is to have 100% of our families attend conferences. If the conference times offered do not work with your schedule, please connect with your child's teacher about an alternative time.

Restroom Etiquette at Hillcrest:
We at Hillcrest have been working hard to help our huskies grow into responsible and respectful individuals. We had shared our expectations at the beginning of the school year regarding how to utilize all areas of the building as it is not one individual utilizing the building but all staff and students as a whole. We kindly ask that you speak with your child regarding proper restroom etiquette. In order to continue maintaining restrooms in a sanatory condition, we would appreciate your support with this matter. As we get closer to colder temperatures lets work together to keep germs away. There will be consequences for those who intentionally misuse their restroom privileges. Thank you!
CLASSROOM DONATIONS NEEDED:
-Pack of Copy Paper
-Kleenex box
-Small Water bottles
-Extra healthy snacks for the class to store incase a student forgets
We truly appreciate it!
REMINDER--SNACK and WATER BOTTLE TO SCHOOL EVERYDAY!
ATTENDANCE REMINDERS, PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:
Regular attendance at school is crucial to students’ academic success. Presence in the classroom, either in person or virtually, allows students to participate in class instruction and discussion, exposing them to group interactions with teachers and other students. State law requires “continuous and consecutive” school attendance for the entire school year for children 6 to 18 years old.
If you need to pick-up your child early from school, please make sure to contact the office by 11:00a.m.! This will provide the teacher time to prepare work and gather your child's things. Work will not be given if no phone call made ahead of time to the office, your child will receive the class work the next day or when they return to school. Your child will not be released after 3:00 p.m.. if a phone call was not made before 11:00 a.m.
We appreciate your cooperation with this matter!
