Dear College Hills Parents & Guardians,

We had a great year and now it is time to celebrate our student’s success. Please make sure to read below for all the great end of year activities to save the dates on your calendar. We hope to see everyone at the awards ceremonies for your children!

Remember we will be out of school on Monday, May 28 in honor of Memorial Day. Our last day of school for the 2017-2018 school year will be Thursday, May 31. This will be an early release day as the students will be dismissed at 12:45 PM. Students will have the opportunity to eat lunch and our buses will run as usual.

I want to thank you for sharing your children with us. It has been an amazing year exploring new skills, learning new concepts and building positive relationship with all your children.

Dear Parents:

The Usborne Books & More “Reading is a Gift” book fair is coming to
College Hills Elementary on May 25th, 29th and 30th. The book fair will
be open between the hours of 10:30am and 3:30pm, so be sure to stop by
before or after your student’s awards program. Your children can choose
from hundreds of books that will pay our school back with FREE books.
Our goal is to encourage reading over the summer months.

Having quality books in the home is essential for children. Usborne and

Kane Miller books were designed so that children would really enjoy

reading at home. The books have humor, color, a wealth of information

on all subjects, stunning illustrations, and simple text in titles for younger

children. Get involved in the book fair – be a volunteer, donate a book to

a classroom, promote your child’s reading, attend the fair – and you’ll

give the precious gift of reading to our children!

Please feel free to attend the book fair in in the hallway outside the

nurse’s office. If you send money with your child to purchase books,

please place it in an envelope or zip bag with your child’s name on it. We

appreciate your support and know the children will enjoy the Usborne

books.

There will be a limited selection of books available for purchase at the fair.

Friday, May 25th is the deadline for ordering a yearbook. Yearbooks will be delivered in the Fall.

Order Online at www.balfour.com and select College Hills Elementary. Only enter the mailing address if you would like the book mailed to you. Or order with a paper order form sent home in folder and available in the office.

Students will have the option to have their yearbook mailed when they arrive or enjoy getting the book when they return to school.

Parents of new or kindergarten students at the start of next school year, please help us to welcome you by joining us in the library on the first day of school after you have dropped off your student in his or her classroom.

We will enjoy Blue Baker catering and welcome you to our school family with brief greetings from our administration and PTO.
