Alumni Spotlight - Where are they now?
Jaime Etienne - Skilled Trades Academy Graduate
I am a 2022 graduate of RC3's skilled trades academy. After graduation, I enlisted in the United States Marines. Recently, I graduated from boot camp in Paris Island, SC. I will further my training at Gamp Geiger, NC in infantry training. My ultimate goal is to join the recapture tactical team. The selection process for this team is highly competitive. I am determined to remain focused and gain the training necessary to reach my goal. I enjoyed my time at RC3 in the skilled trades academy. The knowledge and guidance provided by my instructors, especially Mr. Nabors, helped me get to where I am today.
Healthcare Career Expo
Last week, the Health Science and Fire Academies hosted a Health Science Career Fair as part of student professional development. Eighteen healthcare industry professionals presented information and performed demonstrations about their career. Students traveled in small groups throughout RC3 to learn more about the varied and exciting opportunities available in healthcare. Careers included pet therapist, forensic pathologist, flight medic, paramedic & firefighter, nurse anesthetist, nursing, and obstetrician/gynecologist to name a few. We are so thankful to these community members for their help in providing this opportunity for our students.
