Congratulations to Our Town Center Teacher of the Year - Mrs. Medina!
We were excited to announce our Teacher of the Year today! Mrs. Medina is the lead teacher in one of our practical academics classes, and we are delighted to have her represent our school this year. I've included a brief blurb from her nomination that was shared with the school today. Her family was able to join in on the surprise, and we look forward to celebrating her throughout the year.
Mrs. Medina’s classroom is a magical place. With both her words and actions, she makes children feel seen and loved each day. She consistently embodies what it looks like to have authentic relationships with learners, doing what she can to ensure they leave her classroom knowing they are cared for.
Mrs. Medina also intentionally cultivates an environment that is inclusive of all abilities. By creating fun, engaging and often unconventional opportunities to learn in ways that best meet the needs of each individual learner, she fosters a classroom environment where everyone can truly thrive. She is a one of a kind teacher who opens her classroom to all learners making them feel valued and important. As a staff member, Mrs. Medina brings positivity and contagious joy to TCE each day, and we are lucky to have her!
A Note From PTO - Holiday Gift Wrapping
December 5th & 12th Volunteer Opportunity
Parents, every December the teachers are able to bring in their gifts for the PTO to wrap. The teachers really appreciate it, and it's fun to be a part of. You'll also learn how to tie a proper bow, and it will change your life! Click here for the signup. If you can't stay the whole time, note the time you'll be there in the comments.
A Note From Ms. Matlock: Lion's Club Holiday Baskets
Each year the Lions Club of Coppell provides holiday baskets and toys to families in the Coppell ISD attendance area. Last year the Lion's Club provided a special Christmas for over 130 families and hundreds of children who might otherwise have gone without.
The food baskets and toys are delivered by members of the Lions Club, and the identity of the recipients are kept confidential. If your family would benefit from a holiday basket and toys from the Lions Club, please complete the form below and return it to TCE's counselor, Kelly Matlock, by Friday, December 8th. Email kmatlock@coppellisd.com if you would like a paper copy sent home.

REMINDERS
Yearbooks for Sale and Photo Uploads
Our yearbook sale is now open! Each year we have a Town Center Yearbook that highlights photos from every class, school events, and staff. It is a great item to have to look back on memories from the year, and we even have a yearbook signing party in May. If you are interested in purchasing a yearbook, please see the graphic below for thee different purchasing options. As a reminder, the TCE Yearbook cost WAS NOT included in the TCE Trail Pass. If you would like a yearbook for your child(ren), you will need to purchase using the website link below.
Our yearbook committee would also love your help in submitting photos for the yearbook. As you attend campus events, if you have any photos you would like to share, see below for information on uploading them to our committee.
Library Volunteers
Background Checks
We ask that all families complete a volunteer background check. They do not carry over from year to year. Since the background checks take time to process, we ask that everyone complete one in case any type of volunteering opportunity (class field trip, Dads Club, Room parent, class volunteer, field day, etc.) arises during the year that you are interested in. Please click on the link below to complete.
