News for You:
- Head lice: The number of head lice is higher than usual. Please regularly check to ensure your child does not have head lice. Doing weekly checks is a great idea this time of the year. And remind your child not to share combs, hair accessories, or hats. Thank you!
- Parent-Teacher Conferences: Parent-Teacher Conferences will be on February 16th and 17th. This is an "invite" conference, and if you don't hear from your child's teacher, then a conference is not needed. Feel free to contact your child's teacher if you have any questions.
- PTO: The PTO (parent-teacher organization) is looking for new parent recruits who want to be a part of a great group to enhance the school experience for all students! Please get in touch with Mr. Katona if you're interested in joining! Our next meeting will be on Tuesday, February 7th, at 6:30 pm in the elementary teacher's lounge.
- Drop-off Lane: Parents/Guardians! Please don't leave your vehicle in the drop-off lane; pull forward to allow other vehicles to enter. This WILL help the flow of traffic.
- Cold Weather: Please send your child with a jacket and warm clothing as the weather gets cooler. Thanks!
- WIN Room Clothes: We are looking for clothes donations (pants, shirts, etc.) for our WIN room. You can drop them off in the elementary office. Thank you.
- Popcorn Fridays: Parent/Guardians, popcorn Fridays are back! Students will get a bag of popcorn one Friday of the month (usually the last Friday). We are asking for students to bring in $.25 per month to help offset the cost of the popcorn. This is not mandatory, and we thank you for your help! *Our next Popcorn Friday will be on February 24th!
- Medication: Please be sure to contact the office and get the proper paperwork for any Medication disbursement or food modification forms for the kitchen. Medication can not be given without paperwork from the school signed by the physician. This includes Epi-pens and inhalers as well as prescribed and non-prescribed medication. The kitchen cannot accommodate any food modifications without the form from the school filled out by a physician.
