Hundreds of Talented Students Come Together to Perform at 47th Annual District Band Pageant
The 47th annual Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District Band Pageant took place on Wednesday, November 1, at Bradford Stadium in Placentia. Students from all six PYLUSD middle schools and all four PYLUSD comprehensive high schools joined together to perform both individually and cohesively in front of thousands of cheering loved ones, teachers, staff, school and district administrators, and community members.
Valadez, Melrose, and Rio Vista Schools Come Together for Annual Read for the Record Event
On Thursday, October 26, students at Valadez Middle School Academy hosted first graders from Melrose and Rio Vista elementary schools to participate in the annual worldwide event, “Read for the Record.” The goal of Jumpstart’s Read for the Record is to bring millions of young children together with valued grownups in their lives to read the same book, on the same day, in communities all around the world.
REACH Foundation Partners with Inside the Outdoors for 4th Annual Experience Your Environment Event
On October 28, the REACH Foundation collaborated with Inside the Outdoors, an award-winning organization administered by the Orange County Department of Education, to host the 4th Annual Experience Your Environment event at Carbon Canyon Regional Park. During this event, Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District students had the opportunity to inquire about topics related to climate resiliency and environmental literacy.
