Progress Reports Went Home Today
Progress Reports went home with your child today. Please sign their report and return it back to your child's teacher. Thank you!
18 Week Testing Begins Monday
Grades 3-5 will be having 18 week testing beginning next week. The schedule will be as follows:
Monday, December 4-- Reading
Tuesday, December 5- Reading (Day 2 for some students)
Wednesday, December 6- No testing
Thursday, December 7- Math
Friday, December 8- Math (Day 2 for some students)
Monday, December 11- Science for Fifth grade only
Although it's a practice test, it would be very helpful if you made sure they ate breakfast at home, or they are welcome to eat here at school. Please also get a good night's sleep. This always helps as well. Thank you!
Canned Food Drive until December 12
Our canned food drive is well under way!! Thank you for your tremendous generosity! We are hoping that our students can bring in a few cans each. Each student that brings a can will receive a book! Thanks again for your support in this annual White Christmas Food Drive! The top classroom that brings the most cans will receive a pizza party! π
Ms. Arty Pants and Make Up Pictures on December 5th
Tuesday, December 5th from 3-5 will be our annual Ms. Arty Pants. A letter from PTO went home with your child about which items they can paint and the cost and other important information. Also, there is a place on the form that you can use to sign up to volunteer. Thank you in advance for your help!! Please return the form as soon as possible.
Make up pictures will be on December 5th.
Santa's Workshop December 13-15
We need your help!
Our Santa's Workshop will be Wed., December 13- Friday, December 15th. Please email PTO at ptobethelelementary@gmail.com to volunteer. Volunteers will help wrap presents and students shop and find items. More information to come, but we hope to begin gathering volunteers and having them in place soon, so please email our PTO as soon as you know you can help.
Here is a list of items needed to help make our Santa's Workshop a success:
Tissue paper
wrapping paper
small, colored, cellophane bags
name tags for gifts
Twin Day December 18 π―ββοΈ
Monday, December 18th is National Twins Day!! As a twin, (I have a twin sister named Chanda that lives in West Virginia), I know the important friendship that twins have! If your students are twins, please have them dress alike. If you don't have a twin and want to participate, have your child "twin" with someone else from school.
December Dress Up Fridays
π£ Friday, December 1st -- Festive Feet- wear fun socks!
π Friday, December 8th- Festive Sweater/ Top- Wear an ugly Christmas sweater or something else festive!
π Friday, December 15th- Grinch Day- Students can wear green for Grinch or fix their hair like Cindy Lou-Hoo...just think The Grinch That Stole Christmas
π€Friday, December 22nd- Pajama Day - Students can dress in their comfy PJs! Don't forget it's a 12:30 dismissal.
