BCS Bond Update
The planning process for this summer's work is taking shape! We have contracts signed with both the architect company and our contractor. We are in the process of bidding out this summer's projects to sub contractors and planning to get started at the end of this school year. By the way, one of the ways that we are making sure that we are able to start our bond work as soon as possible, is by having our "virtual days" when we would traditionally close our doors. This will allow for our school year to end on June 9th as scheduled, regardless of the weather we receive this winter.
The following projects are some of the projects that will be addressed in our Phase 1 projects this summer:
At the elementary school:
Demolish "A-wing"
Begin construction on the new wing
New flooring in the hallways and needed classrooms
At the MS/HS:
HS locker room renovations
Electrical updates in the HS
New flooring in some classrooms
Updated doors
MS gym bleachers
Concrete sidewalks and track
Cafeteria and Media Center
Bond items that have already started are LED lighting (see photo for a sneak peak at the Elementary Gym's new lighting!) and a bus purchase.
We have a busy summer ahead! Check back next month for more updates on our bond!
