Mr. Posick's weekly email

Next week, our bands and choirs will be performing on Tuesday evening. They have been working diligently on their performance pieces and I know that they will make us all proud. We also have conferences on Thursday night. 7th and 8th grade staff will be in the gym while the 5th grade staff will be in their classrooms. 6th grade conferences are by invitation only as there are student led conferences later in the year. I hope to see you Tuesday, or Thursday, or both nights!

I know that this is a repeat, but I thought it was important to share again this week. There are many options for student drop off and pick up on school days. Please be respectful to the people that live near Merton Intermediate. We all understand that the snow is high, but our drop off and pick up system in the front parking lot is pretty quick, and I'm out there nearly every day to help with the traffic flow. Please do your best not to block our neighbors' driveways to drop off your children. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

There are times when you might get an email about your child's food balance, but not until it's at zero dollars or is overdrawn. In case this is you, and you'd like a reminder before then, there is a button in Skyward Family Access you can check to notify yourself when the account reaches a $5.00 balance. If you need any further assistance with this, you can contact Mrs. Baumgartner and she can work you through the process.

Merton Intermediate School will be hosting a half day career event on Friday, April 26, 2019. The event will take place between 8:30 - 11:30 at Merton Intermediate School. We are seeking professionals to participate in either of the following options that day:

1. Speaking to students during 25 minute sessions about your career and highlighting the opportunities of your career field or company

2. Conducting Mock-Interviews with 6th - 8th grade students using provided questions.

We are hoping to give students an opportunity to explore a wide variety of career fields, so please consider sharing your time and expertise with our students!
