BHS Bucks Principal's Update

Our 8th graders have finished up the second NWEA assessments. Those results will be sent home to parents in the next couple weeks.

During our professional development day on January 18th, our teachers analyzed SAT, PSAT, and NWEA data to determine what areas need to be focused on for the remainder of the school year. All students who took the fall PSAT/SAT test can view their results in the College Board portal. Below is the data that shows what percentage of our students met ELA and Math Benchmarks.

Dr. Scott Carlin is offering a free SAT prep class for any of our juniors who are interested. Information on that opportunity has gone home to all parents and posted on our social media. BHS has purchased SAT prep books for all juniors to use to help them prepare for their test in the Spring.

Mrs. Miller's Art students selected their best works of art from first semester to showcase and share. Click on the link below to see their talent and how far they have progressed in their skills.

Students who will be juniors and seniors next year who are interested in participating in a CTE program should contact Mr. Frey (mfrey@buchananschools.com) to make an appointment to explore Career Technical Education options! CTE will begin scheduling for next year starting at the end of the month.

Autumn Ropp has dabbled in a couple art themes this year first ranging in cute delicately painted animals to astronauts floating in ambiguous scenes. In this artwork Autumn has taken her art to a new level. She introduced a glitch by using doubled lined color and subtracted lines. This visually vibrating work is a sensation. Keep up the awesome work Autumn!
