Superintendent Information
Dear Jaguar Families,
As we prepare to take this Thursday and Friday from school for the Thanksgiving break, we are grateful for everyone who has helped to support the school, students, staff, and families.
We hope these days off will be a great time to rest, reflect, and have an enjoyable Thanksgiving. Please enjoy this time with friends and family. These last several months have zoomed by since the first day of school back in September.
As always, please let us know how we are doing as a school. We welcome your feedback on how we can improve.
I am thankful to be a Jaguar,
Aaron Kombol
Superintendent

Thanksgiving, Thursday November 23
America’s Thanksgiving holiday, born in the 1500s, mythologized in 1621, and observed even during the bleakest hours of the Civil War, now stands as one of the nation’s most anticipated and beloved days — celebrated each year on the fourth Thursday in November (November 25, 2021). Perhaps no other nonsectarian holiday has more tradition. Family, friends, food, and football have come to symbolize Thanksgiving — a rare celebratory holiday without an established gift-giving component. Instead, the day urges all of us to be grateful for things we do have.
Additional Inspections
After the 10.23.23 Easton School Board meeting, Cle Elum and Thorp School Districts were contacted to determine if they could perform additional bus inspections for Easton School District buses. Both districts were not be able to meet the requested quick timeline. The district then contracted with a bus mechanic with the Issaquah School District to perform these additional bus inspections.
On 10.29.23, the contracted mechanic conducted additional inspections of buses 2, 3, and 4.
The additional inspections noted several non-emergency items that were quickly resolved by a local vendor.
Final Playground Designs
After meeting with the K/1 class, 2/3 class, 4/5 class, 6th grade class, and 7/8 grade classes, and tabluating class votes in terms of options A, B, and C, the designs have been selected.
The younger students perfered Option A playground. The older students also preferred Option A. Please see below for the images(ignore the trees and buildings in background).
