Library Orientation for Mrs. Lessard's classes
This week, all of Mrs. Lessard's seventh grade classes came to the library for library orientation. Students had tours of the library, learned how to use the online card catalog and checked out books for their independent reads.
YA Diverse Books Book Club at the Club Fair
Schuyler Hagge and Priscilla Richardson represented the Young Adult Diverse Books Book Club at the Club Fair. They shared information about the books we've read and our book discussions with potential new members.
Our first meeting will be during ARE time in the Library. This will be an informational meeting to learn more about the club and pick up the first book we'll be reading this year. The first book we'll be reading is Perfectly Parvin by Olivia Obtahi and the second book we'll be reading is Last Night at the Telegraph Club by Melinda Lo. The purchase of these books was made possible by a We Volunteer grant our library received last spring.
Spanish Students Are Raising Donations for Puerto Rico
Students in Spanish classes are raising donations for people suffering from the Hurricane Fiona in Puerto Rico. There is a donation jar on the front counter in the library if you would like to contribute.
