Family Reading Night
PES Annual Christmas Drive
In remembrance of Mrs. Brauer, PES conducted their annual Christmas drive a little differently this year. We worked with the Pecatonica Community Food Pantry to help provide the dessert for the Christmas baskets. Our local food bank serves close to 150 families.
Mrs. Brauer was such a sweet and fun part of our staff. We wanted to find something “sweet and fun” to honor her memory!
We collected 142 cake mixes, 80 sprinkles, 126 frostings, 115 cans of sprite and 84 pans!
What a great job! Thank you to all who donated!

Military Care Packages
PCMS organized a drive to produce care packages for active military members. Twenty-seven boxes were made for local soldiers. Kindergarten and middle school students took time to write notes included in the boxes.
There were also a few community donations that made the boxes possible. Fire Department Coffee Co. out of Rockford donated coffee, a local parent donated gum, and General Mills donated cereal and granola bars. There was also community support to adopt a box to ship for $20 per box.
Thank you to all who helped make the care packages possible and a special thank you to Micki Hutting for all her work toward organizing the drive.
