Hello Walsh Families!

March is finally arriving and hopefully that means warmer weather. Parent/Teacher conferences will be held on Monday, March 14 from 3:00 - 8:00 PM. This will be an early dismissal day (1:50 PM) for students. Your child's teacher will contact you if they are requesting a conference.

There have been many changes over the past two weeks to Covid and Mask policies in the state and in District 104. Please read the Question & Answer documents below, as they may help clarify some of your questions in regards to Covid-19 and Masks.

The 4th Grade Student Council held a heart drawing contest and were excited to judge all of the entries. One winner from each class won a gift bag on Valentine's Day.

Congratulations and thank you to all who participated!

First Grade Winners: Gianna from Mrs. Hough’s class; Julian from Mrs. Walker’s class; and Esmeralda from Mrs. Campagna’s class.

Second Grade Winners: Amina from Mrs. Mullins’ class; Paloma from Mrs. Johnson’s class; and Lexy from Ms. Cescato’s class.

Third Grade Winners: Jeremiah from Mrs. McRae’s class; Ian from Ms. Moore’s class; Fabricio from Ms. Schneider’s class; and Jose from Mrs. Parker’s class.

Fourth Grade Winners: Pearl from Ms. Neboska’s class; and Alexa from Ms. Modiest’s class.

We had a great turn out of selling suckers to deliver to students on Valentine’s Day. We can’t wait to have more contests and events for our students!

Be on the lookout for March Student Council activities.

Throughout the month of February and into March students will continue to learn about personal safety. Topics include stranger danger, and child abuse prevention (Erin’s Law).

Student Responsibilities for E-Learning Days:

* Teachers will post assignments to Seesaw by 8:30 AM if school is cancelled

* Student should be able to complete the work on their own without assistance from a parent

* Teachers will have set office hours that will be communicated to parents on Seesaw.

* Students have until the day AFTER they return from an eLearning day to submit assignments. Assignments can be turned in via Seesaw

Students WILL be charged fees for damage/loss of technology items.

Fees are:

• Device Sleeve/cover - $10
• Charger - $25
• Touch Screen - $115
• Device - $250/new device; $200/2 years old; $150/3 years old; $100/4 years old (new devices are provided to 1st and 5th grades every year
