Over the last few weeks several things have been taking place in Seminar. Our 9th grade classes are connecting with their counselors and also participated in Johnny's Ambassadors. More information about Johnny's Ambassadors can be found here. Our 10th and 11th grade students have had class meetings. They also have been working on connecting their College Board Accounts to Khan Academy to help with upcoming PSAT and SAT exams. Our 12th grade students enjoyed pancakes during our Senior Breakfast.

Mountain Vista will be hosting a college fair on Saturday, October 7th from 10:00AM - 12:00PM. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to interact with college representatives from all over the country. Learn more here.

The CIEE Global Navigator High School Summer Abroad program has recognized Rock Canyon High School as a Global Navigator Fellow School. If a student has any interest in studying abroad over the summer, check out all that CIEE has to offer at the website linked above and apply now! The first 10 Rock Canyon students who apply and travel abroad this summer will be granted $1000 towards the cost of their program. Additionally, there are need-based and merit-based scholarship opportunities available for those who qualify.

Please only sign up for ONE time slot. All times are during Access and first lunch, so no student will have to miss class time. The dates are: August 29, August 31, September 12, September 21 and September 26. Any student who does not get their photo taken on one of these free days or at the Keepsake or Monty Nuss studios will not be in the senior portrait section of the 2024 yearbook. Questions? *If you have called your student out before the times listed above, your student can pick up their pass outside the attendance window during passing periods or lunch.

There is no need to come into the front office to release them.
